Entrance Scholarships for Applicants

Qualifications:
Recipients of this scholarship are incoming and current MCL college students who:

1. belong to the Top 5 graduates of the latest MCL-Senior High School graduating class and/or Top 5  in terms of ranking in  their MCL College Entrance Scholarship Examination;
2. complied with all the admission requirements set by MCL (for incoming Freshmen);
3. have no record of any disciplinary action for a major offense at the Center for Student Activities and Discipline (for upperclassmen).

Benefits:
Qualified students will receive the following benefits for the duration of their studies in MCL-SHS:

1. 100% Tuition Fee, LFD, and Miscellaneous Fees Discount – Pass-on charges not included.
2.  P2, 000 worth of learning materials per semester – May be availed only at MCL Bookstore.

Retention Requirements:
Qualified students will continue to enjoy the benefits for the duration of their studies in MCL-SHS subject to following conditions:

1. Must be included in the Dean’s List for the previous regular term – otherwise, the benefits allotted for the remainder of their stay in MCL shall be forfeited. ;
2. remain in his/her academic program, and;
3. have no disciplinary action or pending disciplinary case for a major offense.

Qualifications: 
Recipients of this scholarship are Incoming MCL College Freshman students who:

1. belong to the next top 40 in terms of ranking in the MCL-College Entrance Scholarship Examination determined after the selection of the 10 E.T. Yuchengco Institutional Scholarship recipients.
2. complied with all the admission requirements set by MCL.

Benefits:
Qualified students will receive the following benefits for the First Term.

1. 50% Tuition Fee and LFD Discounts – for students ranked 11th – 30th in the MCL-SHS Entrance Scholarship Examination.
2. 25% Tuition Fee and LFD Discounts – for students ranked 31st – 50th in the MCL-SHS Entrance Scholarship Examination.

Retention Requirements:
Qualified students will continue to enjoy the benefits for the entire school year subject to following conditions

1. Non-commission of a major offense during the semester – Students sanctioned for a major offense shall forfeit their scholarship and its corresponding benefits for the semester and the remainder of the school year.

Qualifications: 
Recipients of this scholarship are Incoming MCL College Freshman students who:

1. belong to the Academic Honorees list and top 5% of the MCL-SHS graduating class of the previous school year;
2. complied with all the admission requirements set by MCL.

Benefits:
Qualified students will receive the following benefits for the First Term:  

1. 50% Tuition Fee and LFD Discounts – for the upper half of the qualifiers.
2. 25% Tuition Fee and LFD Discounts – for the upper half of the qualifiers.

Retention Requirements: 
Qualified students will continue to enjoy the scholarship benefits for the 1st Term subject to following conditions:

Non-commission of a major offense during the term –  Students sanctioned for a major offense during the term shall forfeit their scholarship and its corresponding benefits. 

Step 1 – Apply for Online Admission. Those who have already applied or enrolled may proceed to Step 2.

Step 2 –Fill out the MCL Entrance Scholarship Exam Online Registration Form.  Registration period extended until April 2, 2022.

Step 3 – Wait for an e-mail confirmation of your registration details through your registered email address within 24 hours.

Step 4 – Follow the instructions for the submission of requirements specified in the e-mail confirmation of your registration.

The Online Orientation Sessions on the Conduct of the Online MCL Entrance Scholarship Exam for incoming College freshman students will be conducted on April 19, 2022.

Online MCL Entrance Scholarship Examination for incoming College freshman students will take place on April 23, 2022.

Other Scholarships and Financial Programs for College Students

The MCL Loyalty Discount is for incoming college freshman students who belong to the MCL Senior High School (SHS)latest Grade 12 graduating class

Benefits:
     • 10% tuition fee  discount for the First Term only.

To retain the scholarship: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Students with disciplinary record for any major offense are disqualified for the scholarship.

Recipients of this scholarship are MCL college students who are included in the President’s List in the previous regular term, in accordance with our New Academic Policies on Dean’s List and President’s List effective 1st Term AY 2021-2022.

Benefits:
     •100% tuition fee discount and L/F/D for those with Term Weighted Average (TWA) of 1.50 and above.
     •50% tuition fee discount and L/F/D for those with TWA lower than 1.50.

To retain the scholarship: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Students with disciplinary record for any major offense are disqualified for the scholarship.

Recipients of this scholarship are incoming freshman and current college students qualified and selected for their potential to bring prestige, honor, and glory to MCL as sports ambassadors and as role models of excellence and virtue through the following sports: basketball, football, baseball, and volleyball for males, and volleyball for females.

NOTE: In view of the community quarantine restrictions, tryouts for athletic scholarships may only be
conducted once government allows the resumption of sports/athletic activities and competitions

Benefits:
     • 25% to 100% tuition and L/F/D fees discounts for 1 semester.
     • Free sports uniform and meal allowance and transportation during tournament games.

To retain the scholarship: The recipient must obtain a units passed percentage (UPP) of 80% (for Grade 11) or 100% (for Grade 12) in all enrolled courses during the immediately preceding semester; be in the list of students recommended for athletic scholarship by the SHS coach for his sport; and have no adverse disciplinary record.

Winners of selected events of the annual MCL Cup qualify for the MCL Cup Scholarship.

Benefits:
     • The terms and conditions of the scholarship benefits are stipulated in the MCL Cup Scholarship Certificate.

To retain the scholarship: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Students with disciplinary record for any major offense are disqualified for the scholarship.

Qualifications of Applicants are as follows:

  1. Currently enrolled students
  2. Incoming 3rd year Engineering students (preferably CE, EE, IE, ME)
  3. Residents of Muntinlupa, San Pedro, Biñan, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao, and Calamba
  4. Students with a GWA of 2.25 or higher
  5. Students with financial difficulty

Requirements to be submitted:

  1. Duly Accomplished Application Form for Scholarship
  2. 3rd Term Certificate of Matriculation (Certified True Copy by the Registrar’s Office)
  3. Barangay Certification of Residence
  4. Grade Certificate from the Registrar’s Office
  5. Certified True Copy of Latest ITR of Parent for Year 2021 (Php 500,000 or below gross annual income) or Certificate of Tax Exemption from BIR (if currently not employed)

Deadline of Submission of Requirements: July 15, 2022

MCL partners with the government in the implementation of the following subsidy programs for higher education institutions and senior high schools:    
UniFAST Tertiary Education Subsidy (UniFAST-TES)
CHED Tulong-Dunong Program (CHED TDP)
CHED Scholarship Program (CSP)

To qualify for the YGC or Ayala Corporation Promotional Discount, a student must have a parent who has been verified and certified to be currently a regular employee of a YGC or Ayala Corporation member company.

Benefits:
     • 25% tuition fee and L/F/D discounts per term

To retain the financial aid: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Financial aid may only be availed within the number of curriculum years/terms of the qualified student’s academic program.

To qualify for the MCL Study Aid, a student must have a parent who has been verified and certified to be currently a regular employee of MCL.

Benefits:
     • 50% tuition fee and L/F/D discounts per term

To retain the financial aid: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Financial aid may only be availed within the number of curriculum years/terms of the qualified student’s academic program.

To qualify for the Sibling Discount, a MCL College student must be verified to be a younger sibling of another student currently enrolled at MCL.

Benefits:
     •First sibling – 10% tuition fee discount for the term
     •Second sibling – 25% tuition fee discount for the term
     •Third sibling – 40% tuition fee discount for the term

To retain the financial aid: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term.
