Scholarship Grants for Senior High School

E. T. YUCHENGCO INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP (SHS)

The E.T. Yuchengco Institutional Scholarship is for incoming Grade 11 students who belong to the Top 10 performers in the MCL-SHS Entrance Scholarship Examination during the announced test-taking schedules.

Benefits:
• Free full tuition, L/F/D, and miscellaneous fees for the semester
• Learning materials worth P2, 000 per term available only at MCL Bookstore

To retain the scholarship: The scholars must obtain at least a minimum Weighted Average of 90% at the end of the previous semester, pass all curriculum required enrolled units for the previous term, remain in his/her track strand, and have no disciplinary action or pending disciplinary case.


MCL WIZARD ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP (SHS)

Selected for their potential to excel academically, recipients of this scholarship are incoming Grade 11 students who belong to the top
performers in the MCL SHS Entrance Scholarship Examination determined after the selection of the 10 E.T. Yuchengco Institutional Scholarship recipients.

Benefits:
• 25% to 50% tuition and L/F/D fees discounts for the First Semester

To retain the scholarship: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the semester. Students with disciplinary record for any major offense are disqualified for the scholarship.


ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT INCENTIVE

The Academic Achievement Incentive is given to MCL Senior High School Grade 12 students with regular academic load who topped their respective strands in terms of GWA in the previous school year.

Benefits:
• 25% to 50% tuition fee discount

To retain the scholarship: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Students with disciplinary record for any major offense are disqualified for the scholarship.


ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The MCL Athletic Scholarship is awarded to incoming Grade 11 and current Senior High School students qualified and selected for their potential to bring prestige, honor, and glory to MCL as sports ambassadors and as role models of excellence and virtue through the following sports: basketball, football, baseball, and volleyball for males; volleyball for females.

NOTE: In view of the community quarantine restrictions, tryouts for athletic scholarships may only be
conducted once government allows the resumption of sports/athletic activities and competitions

Benefits:
• 25% to 100% tuition and L/F/D fees discounts for 1 semester.
• Free sports uniform and meal allowance and transportation during tournament games.

To retain the scholarship: The recipient must obtain a units passed percentage (UPP) of 80% (for Grade 11) or 100% (for Grade 12) in all enrolled courses during the immediately preceding semester; be in the list of students recommended for athletic scholarship by the SHS coach for his sport; and have no adverse disciplinary record.


MCL CUP SCHOLARSHIP

Winners of selected events of the annual MCL Cup qualify for the MCL Cup Scholarship.

Benefits:
• The terms and conditions of the scholarship benefits are stipulated in the MCL Cup Scholarship Certificate.

To retain the scholarship: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Students with disciplinary record for any major offense are disqualified for the scholarship.


YGC PROMOTIONAL / AYALA CORPORATION PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNT

To qualify for the YGC or Ayala Corporation Promotional Discount, a student must have a parent who has been verified and certified to be currently a regular employee of a YGC or Ayala Corporation member company.

Benefits:
• 25% tuition fee and L/F/D discounts per term

To retain the financial aid: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Financial aid may only be availed within the number of curriculum years/terms of the qualified student’s academic program.


MCL STUDY AID

To qualify for the MCL Study Aid, a student must have a parent who has been verified and certified to be currently a regular employee of MCL.

Benefits:
• 50% tuition fee and L/F/D discounts per term

To retain the financial aid: The recipient must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term. Financial aid may only be availed within the number of curriculum years/terms of the qualified student’s academic program.


SIBLING DISCOUNT

To qualify for the Sibling Discount, an MCL student must be verified to be a younger sibling of another student currently enrolled at MCL.

Benefits:
• First sibling – 10% tuition fee discount
• Second sibling – 25% tuition fee discount
• Third sibling – 40% tuition fee discount

To retain the scholarship: Recipients must have no disciplinary action imposed for a major offense during the term.
