The Huawei Seeds for the Future 2022 is a delegation program by the Huawei Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in partnership with the ASEAN Foundation and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The goal of the event is to provide hands-on training through competitions to young ICT talents.

The Huawei Seeds for the Future’s curriculum includes the following courses:

  • Basics of 5G Technology and Networks
  • Basics of Artificial Intelligence
  • Basics of Cloud Computing
  • Leadership
  • How to Build Startups

In an interview with Gnilo, he mentioned that he was able to apply for the program through sending his application requirements via Huawei’s PR Office. The requirements are Proof of Philippine Citizenship, Academic Grades, and Curriculum Vitae. Additionally, Gnilo also created an introduction video and essay that explains why he wants to be one of the program’s delegates.  When asked why he joined the program, Gnilo said, “The projected academic debt incurred by the pandemic encouraged me to try out seeds for the Future. I wanted to inspire more people to become tech-savvy and help us overcome these challenges. After the program, I am looking forward to becoming an instrument to share knowledge about emerging technologies so the country will not be left behind among its neighbors.”

MCL CCIS inspired and helped Gnilo in this journey through the foundations that he learned in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering. Gnilo said, “With these, I can guide my team into the feasibility of the project in terms of manpower and technical Research and Development.”

For other Malayans who are also aspiring to join programs that will push them to learn and train in their desired field, Gnilo said that students should be diligent to apply and work on the application and interview process of the programs. He said, “Keep a habit of recording your activities in your curriculum vitae. No matter how small or big, curricular or extra-curricular, put them in your CV because they generally reflect your personality as well. If you are aiming to build a resume for a specific application, it would not be a problem next time.”
