MCL is CALABARZON’s 1st ISO 21001:2018 – EOMS Certified School

Malayan Colleges Laguna, A Mapúa School, was commended for being the 1st ISO 21001:2018 – Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS) Certified School in CALABARZON last January 25, 2022. The accrediting body, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), conducted the audit from December 13 to 15, 2021 with acclaimed noteworthy efforts. 

Among the noteworthy efforts commended by DNV are the remarkable learning management system utilization strategies of MCL professors, specifically the College of Arts and Science (CAS) on their “Online Course Plan” that maximized various online delivery techniques such as supplementary video learning materials, interactive content, recorded demonstration, and interactive power point presentation for online learning.

Furthermore, MCL was applauded for its micro-credential partnershipwith LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, Cisco, Huawei, Amazon, etc., which enhances the skills of MCL students (learners) to be globally competent graduates and industry-ready professionals.

The regular test on Phishing for data security and protection that invariably helps employees in understanding and detecting possible cyber-attacks was lauded by DNV.

Amidst the pandemic, the Center for Learning and Information Resources (CLIR) through their Annual Statistical Report for AY 2020-2021 vouched for its effectiveness in their unceasing online services rendered for both Senior High School (SHS) and College learners and faculties.

Since 2012, the Mapúa Institute of Technology at Laguna (MITL) has consistently garnered high passing rates in licensure and board examinations.The passing rates on all MITL programs are consistently higher than the national passing rate.

And lastly, MCL was duly recognized for its international accolades as the 2021 Winner of the Blackboard Awards for Optimizing Student Experience in transforming the students’ e-campus life through various student online services led by the Learning Environments and Innovations Office (LEIO) along with the Student Affairs Office (SAO) and Center for Guidance and Counseling (CGC).

Moving forward, MCL commits to uphold the principles of ISO 21001:2018 to standardize the delivery of quality education and to stimulate excellence and innovation, along with embodying ethical and social responsibility.
