Summary of Responsibilities

Assessor for B.S. Marine Engineering

Summary of Responsibilities

This position is responsible for spearheading the design development and enhancement of assessment tools. He/she shall ensure reliability and validity of assessment tools. Also, he/she will administer the conduct of examination/assessment.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Management Level:
     a. Have an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding of the competence to be assessed;
     b. be qualified in the task for which the assessment is being made;
     c. Have undergone training in:
          i.) "Training Courses for Instructors"(IMO Model Courses 6.09)
         ii.) "Assessment Examination and Certifications of Seafarers"(IMO Model Course 3.12)
         iii.) "Train the Simulator Trainer and Assessor course" (MO Model Course 6.10) or an approved training course for Simulator
                Instructors and Assessors by the Maritime Administration for that assessing competence using Simulators,
2. Gained practical experience as assistant to an experience assessor for at least one semester:

Communication and Partnerships Assistant

Summary of Responsibilities

The primary role is to provide support to the daily operations of the office and assist in the formulation, development and implementation of key programs and services of the Office for External Relations and Global Linkages.

Summary of Responsibilities

A web developer is responsible for all activities pertaining to the design and development, creation of layout, conceptualization and formation of visual appearance, design applicability, test and deliver major and minor websites of the organization. Enhancements, updates, and defect resolution will be required on an ongoing basis.

IT Resources Assistant

Summary of Responsibilities

The IT Resources Assistant will be primarily in-charge of all IT resource management tasks in MCL. These include maintaining hardware and software inventories, managing the various IT contracts, warranties, and agreements, and requisitioning of needed IT equipment and supplies for DO-IT. He/she may also be asked to perform helpdesk duties should the primary IT Helpdesk be indisposed. As IT helpdesk, he/she will log client calls, create the support tickets, and escalate the tickets accordingly.

Database Administrator

Summary of Responsibilities

The position is responsible for the smooth performance, integrity, and security of a database, updating existing databases, and building new systems. Establish what the database is for, who will use it and what systems it will link to. Filling database with information and setting storage, backup, and ensuring the database has adequate storage and maintenance and monitoring of database server performance.
