MCL CSCE campaigns face shields for frontliners
Continuing their efforts in helping health workers and frontliners fight against the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Malayan Colleges Laguna’s (MCL) Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement (CSCE) partners with local crafters in producing face shields to be deployed to hospitals in Calabarzon.
For Php 25, donors can supply one face shield for our health workers and frontliners in CALABARZON. Made from plastic/acetate, garter, and foam boards, these makeshift face shields are created by partner local crafters from Los Baños and Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and even as far as Mandaluyong and Antipolo, Rizal.
Earlier, CSCE has committed 200 pieces of face shields to be distributed to DSWD IV-A, one of its partner organizations. These face shields are expected to be delivered by Monday, April 6, 2020. These will greatly help DSWD staff during their delivery of relief goods to their beneficiaries.
The ongoing project aims to distribute 1000 or more face shields to hospitals in CALABARZON.
