This year’s Anilag Festival, held last March 10 to 17, 2018, served as an avenue for Malayan Colleges Laguna (MCL) students to showcase their competence to the province of Laguna as they prevailed in two (2) of its events.

Competing with 40 representatives from different Laguna cities and municipalities, three (3) experienced pageant participants from MCL brought home awards from the much-awaited Ginoo at Binibining Laguna 2018.

Aside from winning as Ginoong Laguna 2nd Runner-Up, Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) student from MCL Senior High School, Jason Gabrielle M. Terry also earned the Best in Formal Wear award. Terry is San Pedro City’s 2017 Goodwill Ambassador.

While Ms. Cabuyao 2017 and B.A. Broadcasting (BAB) senior Millicent S. Bungcasan was crowned Binibining Laguna 2nd Runner-Up, Maru Joi O. Pasion, another ABM student and 19th Rosas ng Sta. Rosa 1st Runner-Up, won 3rd Runner-Up.

Binibining Laguna 2017 Christa Lynd A. Pereira, who is also an MCL student taking up B.S. Chemical Engineering (ChE), concluded the night as she made her final pageant walk.

Malayan Dance Crew (MDC), furthermore, danced their way to second (2nd) place in the Dance Revolution Inter-Collegiate Dance Battle, winning fifteen thousand pesos (PHP 15,000).
