PIIE celebrates first General Assembly Party
The Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers held their first General Assembly Party on July 24, 2010 at room 306. The activity’s purpose was to have a formal meeting with the 3rd and 4th year BSIE students.
The activity’s highlight was the introduction of the core officers led by the organization’s President Alexis Louigie Tanay. The upcoming plans for the whole year were also discussed by Ma. Erika Laguardia and Kris Bernadette Magaling, the organization’s Vice President for External and Internal Affairs.
Other activities that the officers aim to pursue activities are the Fiesta Cup and teambuilding for the first term; IE Sports Fest for the second term; and quiz bee, plant visits and seminars for the third term.
Small games were prepared by Batch Representatives Gilbert Garcia and Lyle Arianne Bautista during the General Assembly Part. Their aim was to draw the members closer to each other as they engage in fun-filled activities. Prizes were awarded to the winners – Rianne Melendrez won the “human bingo”; batch ’07 won over the batch ’08 in the “Samson and Deililah” contest, and batch ’08 won over batch ’07 in the logo making contest.
