ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

To apply, a candidate must be a Grade 10 or 11 student of good moral character, and must pass the MCL Senior High School entrance examination (MSEE).

STEP 1: Submit the requirements to Admissions Office.

  1. Duly Filled application Form for Senior High School
  2. Photocopy of Grade 10 School ID or report card
  3. Photocopy of NSO/PSA birth certificate
  4. Two pieces 1.5” x 1.5” identical pictures with plain background

Additional requirements for Grade 12 Transferees

  1. Original and photocopy of Grade 11 Report Card
  2. Grade 11 Curriculum

STEP 2: Pay the application fee (PHP 300.00).

STEP 3: Present official receipt of payment to the Admissions Office and secure test permit and admissions kit.

STEP 4: Present the test permit to the proctor and take the MCL Senior High School Examination on the scheduled date. Examinees must arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled time for an orientation.

STEP 5: Access the examination results at www.mcl.edu.ph. The Admissions Office will release the results of the examination after seven (7) working days. Please update the office of any changes in your mailing address and contact numbers.
If you cannot view the result, please contact the Admissions Office at (049)832-4063 to 66. Kindly note that the Admissions Office will not release the examination results over the telephone.

STEP 6: Pay the enrollment confirmation fee (PHP3,000).

STEP 7: Prepare the requirements for enrollment.


ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

We would like to remind the enrollee to prepare the list of requirements below. We have designated areas for the parents to stay while waiting for the enrollee as we encourage them to process their enrollment independently.

MCL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Entrance Examination Permit
2. Original Grade 10 report card showing applicant’s (a) eligibility for admission to Senior High School, duly signed by the High School Principal and (b) Learner’s Reference Number
        2.1 The principal/ adviser must countersign the report card if it has erasures or alterations
        2.2 The applicant must submit a certificate of the school’s numerical equivalent if the report card contains alpha grades
        2.3 The applicant must submit an authenticated report card if he/she graduated from an international school
3. Recent certificate of Good Moral Character (issued year of graduation) from the High School Principal with school seal
4. Photocopy of PSA/NSO birth certificate (original must be presented for verification)
        4.1 If the applicant is not a Filipino citizen, submit (a) original and photocopy of passport with at least 6 months validity; (b) Alien Certificate of Registration; (c) student visa or student study permit
        4.2 If the applicant has dual citizenship, submit (a) Certificate of recognition as Filipino citizen or Philippine Passport ; (b) Authenticated birth certificate
5. Photocopy of PSA/NSO birth certificate (original must be presented for verification)
        5.1 If the applicant is not a Filipino citizen, submit (a) original and photocopy of passport with at least 6 months validity; (b) Alien Certificate of Registration; (c) student visa or student study permit
        5.2 If the applicant has dual citizenship, submit (a) Certificate of recognition as Filipino citizen or Philippine Passport ; (b) Authenticated birth certificate
6. Two pieces 1 ½ ” x 1 ½ ” recent identical photographs (with plain background and name at the back)

FOR VOUCHER VALIDITY AND REDEMPTION
1. Photocopy of PSA/NSO birth certificate
2. Photocopy of Certificate of Junior High School Completion
3. Photocopy of Good Moral Character Certificate
4. For students who graduated from a Public School - Photocopy of Grade 10 report card
5. For ESC Grantees - ESC Certification Letter from Junior High School Principal
6. For Qualified Voucher Applicants - QVR Certificate

FOR SCHOLARSHIP VALIDATION
1. Duly filled out scholarship application form
2. For High School honor students
        • Certificate of honors which includes the rank and number of graduating students signed by the High School Principal (with school seal)
3. For academic achievers
        • Photocopy of the entrance examination result letter
        • Photocopy of the report card

GUIDELINES FOR ID PICTURE-CAPTURING
ID picture-capturing will be done during enrollment in MCL. These guidelines will be implemented in picture-capturing for the official MCL ID.
a. Eyeglasses must be removed for the photograph.
b. Contact lenses may be worn, but contact lenses that change one’s true eye color must be removed.
c. Both ears should be visible.
d. Earrings must be removed for the photograph.
e. Hair accessories must be removed for the photograph.
f. Students must wear a collared shirt or blouse. If the student is wearing an un-collared shirt or blouse, then a coat or blazer must be worn over it. Girls must not wear attires with plunging necklines.
g. No hats or head coverings must be worn, except for religious purposes. A Muslim student may wear a hijab and not show her ears, but her face should be wholly visible for identification. The head covering must not cover the eyebrows and eyes.

Senior High School

E. T. YUCHENGCO INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

For incoming students who exceptionally performed well in the Malayan Colleges Laguna-Senior High School Entrance Examination (MSEE) and have passed the scholarship exam and interview. The scholarship is subject to availability of slots.
Benefits:
• Free full tuition, L/F/D, and miscellaneous fees
• Learning materials worth P2, 000 per term

To retain the scholarship: Scholars must obtain a credit grade average of 90% or better at the end of the term.


ACADEMIC HONOREE SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship grants are given to applicants who are Rank No. 1 and Rank No. 2 in a school class of at least 70 Grade 10 completers.
Benefits:
• Rank 1 – 100% tuition and L/F/D fee discount for three (3) consecutive terms
• Rank 2 – 50% tuition and L/F/D fee discount for three (3) consecutive terms

To retain the scholarship: The students must have no failing grades, no grade lower than 85%, and no shifting of the original track taken.

Note: Grantees are not given the option to pay on an annual payment.


ACADEMIC ACHIEVER SCHOLARSHIP

The applicant must belong to the top 20 performers in the MSEE from October 2017 until March 2018 only.
Benefits:
• 25% tuition fee AND L/F/D discount for three (3) consecutive terms.

To retain the scholarship: The students must have no failing grades, no grade lower than 80%, and no shifting of the original track taken.

Note: Grantees are not given the option to pay on an annual payment.


ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The MCL Athletic Scholarship is awarded to qualified candidate selected for their potential to bring prestige, honor, and glory to MCL as sports ambassadors and as role models of excellence and virtue through the following sports: Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and Baseball.

The applicant must pass the MSEE and perform well in the tryouts organized and conducted by the sports coaches.
Benefits:
• 25%-100% discount range on tuition fee, varsity uniform, free meals, and transportation in tournament games.

To retain the scholarship: The students must maintain a grade set by MCL.


YGC PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNT

Either parent must be a regular employee of any YGC company.
Benefits:
• 25% discount on tuition and L/F/D fees


SIBLING DISCOUNTS

The sibling discount may be availed by an SHS student with at least one sibling studying at MCL as well.
Benefits:
• Younger of two – 10% discount on tuition fee
• Youngest of three – 25% discount on tuition fee
• Youngest of four – 40% discount on tuition fee
